
Olbia
he port of Olbia, located in the city of Olbia,first in Sardinia in terms of passenger traffic and ro-ro cargo traffic, has become world famous for being the gateway to the Costa Smeralda.In addition to being one of the most important passenger ports in the Mediterranean, with four million presences each year, it is also an important commercial port of call with nearly six million tons of cargo. The port of Olbia is classified II° category - I° class.[2].
The area is divided into four areas:
- the inner harbor, where the ancient Roman port also insists, which is intended for yachting;
- the Isola Bianca wharf, with nine docks for ro-ro passenger ships with accompanying cars, commercial vehicles, and three others (one 187-meter one called Pier 9, inaugurated in May 2008, and two others - Piers 1 and 2 - of 275 meters each, inaugurated in 2010) for cruise ships;
- Cocciani Harbor, embedded in the industrial fabric of the city;
- the former Palmera pier.
