
Chioggia
Chioggia constitutes the southernmost access to the Venice Lagoon, as well as the main fishing port in Italy, with excellent productivity levels in the bulk, exceptional cargo and passenger traffic sectors.
The Port of Chioggia is located between the islands of Pellestrina and Sottomarina and is the southernmost access to the Venice Lagoon.
Entrance to the harbor is through a single access, the harbor mouth of the same name having a width of 550 m and a navigable seabed of 8 m below sea level.
It is possible to quantify the number of companies directly employed in Chioggia at 322, which, combined with the 1,260 in Venice, account for a total of 21,175 employees.
