Port of Oristano
is located in the marine borough of Torregrande, in the middle of the western coast of Sardinia. Protected by adverse weather agents, the port offers the availability of 405 berths and, thanks to its position, the facility is also a suitable departure point to visit the west coast of the Island, its still pristine beaches and seabeds as well as the natural and artistic resources of the Province of Oristano.
To the west, the Peninsula of Cape San Marco marks the boundary of the Marine Protected Area ‘Penisola del Sinis-Isola di Mal di ventre', with unique beaches, landscapes and environmental features. A navigation of a few miles takes you to the archaeological vestiges of the Phoenician-Punic city of Tharros, one of the most interesting tourist sights in Sardinia.
To the south-west, the long, sandy beach of Torregrande has recently been awarded with the Blue Flag, an significant acknowledgement by F.E.E. for the best marine tourist resorts. Managed by the ‘Marine Oristanesi' company, the marina also provides a number of nautical and dockyard services, also ashore.
